Google Docs( The Best Web Hosting Service)- If you are using Google.com as your home page, you will surely notice the menu listed above the big banner of Google. You can see there the words, web, images, maps, news, translate, and the word ‘more’. Now try clicking the word “more” and you will find one very helpful application – the Google documents.

Google documents or simply Google docs is a web-based application where you can do most of the work done in your own desktop office. You can create Word Files, PowerPoint presentations, Excel Spreadsheets, Drawing and Forms online.  It’s much like having the utility to use Microsoft Office or Open Office without having to install any application.  This is a free service from Google. However, Google Docs only has a saving capacity of 1GB.

Despite the size limit, Google docs have different services that will surely help you in doing your work. While utilizing the tools, it can even define a word that you typed in or even translate words to different language.

How secure are files saved in Google Docs?  Apparently, files are first saved to your desktop and then automatically saved in Google’s server. This serves as the secured back-up system for your project to prevent loss of data. You won’t have to worry a thing about computer crashes or failure.  Files can also be shared to any person you give access to within Google Docs so they can edit, give comments and view your work. You can even track down the person who edited your work. A built-in chat box is also available for you to have a discussion with those people you choose to share your file with. They can leave you comments, suggestions, and advices within the application which would be helpful for you in creating a better project. It is like you are doing a group project online, and not having to resend, edit, and resend files over and over again. Your project is conveniently accessible. Using any computer with internet, you can view and edit your files anytime and anywhere.

Multiple file extensions are compatible with Google Docs, and these include the most common file types that we are using. And the best thing about it is that you can convert it to a more suitable file extension for your computer. And in case you directly want to print or open your file, they can also be viewed in a web page format or a ready-to-print document.

So if you are asking, how can I use this application? It is as simple as A-B-C. First, you must have a Gmail account. Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Google Chrome, Safari, and other modern web browsers are compatible with Google Docs. The next steps are type in docs.Google.com or follow the guide in the first paragraph. Lastly, login you Gmail ID and you can easily access the Google Docs. It has a user-friendly interface that anyone can access; even students can do their projects here as a group or as an individual.

If you are planning to have a very good document file, whether it is a Word document, PowerPoint presentation or Excel spreadsheet, you can try to use Google docs, a more convenient way of doing a project online. Security and privacy is not at stake. And the best thing of all – it’s free.

Top 5 iPad Apps of 2011

( The Best Web Hosting Service)- With the release of the iPad 2 and the succeeding models that followed its wake there is no wonder why people from around the globe immediately have taken an interest on what applications they can download for their personal reasons.  I got a iPad the couple days so I figured I would make this post. An individual’s preference for anything that takes his fancy is the basis of why some iPad apps take precedence over others.

Every year there is a consistent record of impartiality towards apps that are promoted through movies and anything similar to such genres. It is no wonder that the Angry Birds games has been taken to the next level and with it, the popularity for such applications for iPad users.

Angry Birds
Angry Birds from the very first release was taking the iPad gamers experience into a whole new level. Right now Angry Birds HD (high definition) takes the lead when it comes to iPad users top 5 for 2011. This game is a runaway winner for its maker because young and old alike loves to play this game till the last level. This is a great game, believe me just check it out!

Pages
iPad 2 users are downloading “Pages”, a powerful word processing application. This allows you to do everything that its desktop counterpart can do. “Pages” is similar to Microsoft Word in terms of usage.

Apple has been kind enough to fortify Pages so that you can use its letter or business template. For people on the go it is a must to download this application on just anywhere. A downside to “Pages” is you need this application is impartial to Apple’s system. A good option for users would be to email the document to your desktop if in case you do not yet have the money to buy from Apple. The same thing applies when you are printing a document. You need to use an Apple supported printer.

Garage Band
Garage Band for iPad is third on the list. For people who want to play a guitar this is the best option ever since time immemorial. The possibilities are endless when you want to capture your musical thoughts into reality to give it life. There was a time when musicians and musically inclined individuals need to carry recorders and speakers around just to play a guitar. With the advent of the digital age the only smart option is to use a tablet and such kind of applications.  This ipad app is just so cool!

Kindle
This app is probably the best I have ever seen.  With the emerge of the Kindle a number of years it makes sense that if you have an iPad you should invest the money in buying this app.  There are thousands if not millions of books available for your viewing pleasure.    Unless you don’t read this app probably won’t do you any good.

Netflix
If you are movie buff like I am then you would have to be out of your mind to not own the Netflix app.  You can now watch movies on your iPad to make those painful trips to the DMV not so painful.  Better yet if you have kids and don’t have a TV in your car take your IPad with you install this app and entertain your kids so they will stop throwing their shoes out the window.

This is just a tip of the iceberg for a complete list of Ipad apps I would hope over to: http://www.bestipadappslist.com.

What is PayPal and How Does it Work

Paypal( The Best Web Hosting Service )- Let’s say it isn’t your first time to do online shopping.  Every time you buy something in eBay, Amazon, or other sites, you enter your credit card details for payment over and over again. This is not entirely a bad thing, but it can be tiresome in the long run.  Or you may never get tired of doing so, but still you worry about your money’s safety with having to share all your information every time you make a transaction.  So if you’re wanting to make life easier, you should not miss having a PayPal account.

PayPal started in 1998 in US, and is growing fast throughout the globe up until now.  It was not error-free to start with, but it delivered very well for a huge percentage of users worldwide.  Now, PayPal is known to be the most popular online transaction facility as well as the most secured, meaning many people trust it to be a safe place to consider doing small or even big transactions of their hard-earned money.  This has been a big help to most people who rely on the Internet to do their business, or just people who love shopping, which you may be either.

So how does PayPal work?  Basically, again, PayPal is a facility that will help you with online money transactions.  Registration is free, and signing up is easy.  You just have to go through their website at  www.paypal.com.  From there, you will have to sign up and choose the account type which will likely suit your needs, either personal, premier, or business.  If you are the type of person who just like to shop or pay money online, you can choose the personal account.  However, if you want to be able to send and get paid for selling stuff online, then you can choose premier.  If you happen to be a merchant or trader with a group, you should choose the business type.  This will allow you to have continuous transactions freely without having to worry about your security.  It also gives you the ability to have a separate account for yourself aside from the business account you already signed up with.

So, after choosing your account type, you just have to enter your account details and you need to have a valid email account to verify it with a mail that will be sent to you.  Aside from this type of verification, you also need to link your credit cards on your account.  This is to ensure your ability to pay what you spend on PayPal.  Don’t worry, you’ll find the transactions recorded on your credit card statement.  The good thing is that you only have to enter this information once, and not over and over again.  Now once you get verified, you’re good to go! You can definitely spend as much you need or use it to receive payments for your services, up to you.

PayPal is now a fast-growing international service, and almost all main currencies are supported, and people from all over the globe create accounts to make their spending and earning easier.  Secured payments are one of the things PayPal boasts of, and it has received multiple awards from offering high security to all users.

Using PayPal is not really complicated, in fact, transactions can be made within minutes, really fast compared to the traditional type with having to type up all your credit card details with every purchase you do.  So, why not give PayPal a try, and see how much ease it will give to you.

Backlink Building( The Best Web Hosting Service )- A working backlink building plan is essential in internet marketing.

Or really any site this on the net!  You could have the most professional-looking site created, with plenty of content, with jazzy graphics, and lots of interactive features. But you do need a backlink building strategy for your website, or you will never be found on the net.
The secret to internet marketing is showing up in the top 3 search results at least for specific keywords. So your location greatly matters. If your site does not show up on the first—or second page of search results, it gets harder to find you.
Sure, you can get a little traffic from article directories and blogs, or from people who really search more than page one of Google search. But those who have patience to go further than a few pages aren’t very many, and this traffic is hardly enough to create a sustainable source of traffic that can convert to sales.
It is possible to get one or two sales per month, or several dollars from pay-per-click advertizing. But honestly, we’re in internet marketing to make money, right? After spending countless hours on your website or blog, you hope to earn some hundreds, if not thousands of dollars per month in passive income.
If you follow an effectual backlinking strategy, then you know your internet marketing efforts are not useless, with thousands of visitors being driven to your site every month. This will convert to increased cash for you.

Here are 5 important rules to start you off in an effective backlink building strategy:

•    Build many one-way, in-bound links to your website from related websites with high Google page rank.
•    Build backlinks with the use of HTML anchor text which contains the keyword you want your site to rank for.
•    Make sure the landing page your backlinks link to is optimized for that keyword you want your site to rank for. If this is not possible, you can create another webpage in your site which you can load with content optimized for the keyword.
•    Backlinks can be used in articles, blog posts, social bookmarks, forum posts, and RSS feeds which you can use in various ways.
•    Do not post duplicate content to different article directories. It is better that you send only one of its kind articles for different article directories. If you can learn to spin your articles, you can create unique content.
This is not a complete list, but you know you have the gist of the most common techniques to incorporate into your backlink building strategy when you want to get that high ranking in Google for your website or blog. You can also get help build your backlink building strategy with some internet marketing tutorials.

Why I Won’t Use GoDaddy Again

GoDaddy Sucks( The Best Web Hosting Service )- Well, for starters and I know everyone knows this, but GoDaddy uses their own cPanel, which I can tolerate to a certain degree (I know there are many others out there that will agree with me on this), but to put it lightly it sucks!  Why can’t they just use the standard cPanel, seriously this might help with dealing with angry customers like me.  I also do take the time to review web hosting sites, so that others don’t have to out up with a barrage of bullshit like I have over the years.

Really, I don’t want to sit here and harp on the fact that they have their own wonky cPanel and everything, but there is more to this story on why I won’t use there service again.  Please allow me to explain.

For starters, I used to host my site that you are currently viewing on GoDaddy and do have a portion of it which has a WordPress blog (which you are reading).  It was pretty easy to install the WordPress blog but I recall about twice a week it would go down and I would get a 500 error.  This just basically means something is wrong with their server and there isn’t shit you can do about it.

Like most online businesses you are losing money every time this happens.  So this would happen for hours at a time.  It is very frustrating, but when I called GoDaddy guess what they told me?  “There is nothing we can do and hopefully we get it resolved shortly.”  Oh wow that is reassuring don’t you think!  So I am just supposed to wait and hope that it gets fixed every couple days!  Not on my watch.

Ok, here is the straw that broke the camels back and I mean really shattered the camels back.  I used to have the shared package for this site.  My site kept getting hacked and every 3-4 days.  I would call GoDaddy and ask if they could scan my files and see what was up with my site.

Well, they would scan them and say they are alright (no viruses).  However, when you go to my site it would kick you off.  Weird huh?  Well it turns out there was maleware installed on each one of my pages and they didn’t take the time to look at my code and see several lines of php code that was clearly causing a problem.  GoDaddy told me it was my Adwords code that I had on there?  What?  There is no Adwords on this site.  Is that there standard response or something.

Furthermore, when I told them I wanted it restored they said and quote, “Not our problem buddy.”  What?  Luckily I back my site up about once a day and removed all the files and uploaded them.  Would it have killed them to do that for me?  No instead they wanted to sell me there VPS plan or even dedicated pan, maybe that would fix the problem.  Ha yeah right, what makes you think I am going to dish over $200 a month when you aren’t willing to fix a minor problem.

It kind of reminds me of the Seinfield episode where Jerry is at the car rental place and he is supposed to have a car reserved.  Well, when he gets there they say sorry we sold your car.  Jerry goes into a rant about how you take the reservation, you just can’t hold them.  This relates to GoDaddy as they have no problem getting new customers, but can’t hold them because of their subpar service.

Not to mention I transferred to Inmotion and I immediately discovered that my site ran much faster and I had wonderful customer support.  They exported my databases from my blog and did a complete transfer as well as helped me with my 301 redirects.  Honestly, Inmotion has a customer for life!  Get this Inmotion will help you fix hacks, too!  Try that with GoDaddy!

I run a handful of other sites and I work with Hostgator all the time (see switching your DNS from GoDaddy to Hostgator).  They will restore it and change your password for you at anytime you want.  Even with server side hacks Hostgator always goes out of there way to help you.  To put it lightly once you give GoDaddy your money they simply don’t really care about you.  I will never host with GoDaddy again, and will only buy domains from them and host them elsewhere.  I once did recommend there service here at http://www.the-best-web-hosting-service.com but will no longer recommend there service because of how I was treated on the phone.  Please click here for my full GoDaddy Review.
