Servage Review Servage is a hosting company that was founded in 1998. They were previously called "Servage Hosting" and they are one of the largest independent web hosting companies floating around the net. They currently have nearly 200,000 websites that call their servers their home for their websites. They promise to keep their servers up to date with the latest technology, hence the name "Serve" and "Age".

They promise to have the best support, privacy, and latest technology. Many customers have already tried their luck with Servage. In this review I will discuss reasons on why I feel you should not do business with Servage.

Features

Because of their appealing price of under seven dollars a month Servage appeals to a lot of people. They com with a wide variety of features that any webmaster would love to have. The features are 750 GB of space, 7500 GB of Transfer, Unlimited FTP accounts, 1000 MySQL databases, IMAP/POP3 Mailboxes, free domain (or free transfer), Unlimited domain hosting, and an automatic script installer.

Servage does not use the standard Cpanel, instead they use their own "home made" panel. While at a glance the Cpanel of Servage does look pleasing to the eye. Once you get knee deep into it you will find out it is actually quite difficult to deal with. In fact, many people have reported that there are all kinds of issues, which actually make it quite useless. There stats do not function correctly, can't select multiple files or folders, only monitors who is logging who is logging into your account for 7 days, ect. The list could go on and on.

Uptime and Reliability

With Servage you are promised that you will get wonderful customer support and only deal with minimal downtime. There servers use the latest technology, Intel Dual XEON Processors, SCSI hardrives, with 12 GB of ram. However, security seems to be a huge issue with them, as sites seem to get hacked on daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Expect your site to get hacked about 50 times a year! Good companies such as InMotion and Hostgator will fix the problem so that you don't have to worry about your site being hacked every other day. With Servage you are just left out in the dark.

Customer service also seems to be another problem with Servage. It can take many days or even weeks to get them to get back with you. Most of the time it just seems to end in a support ticket that gets closed for unknown reasons. Some have even wondered if they train their staff or just put out fliers stating, "Now hiring."

Bottom Line

Servage will be worst hosting experience you will ever deal with if you choose to do business with them. Your site will get hacked left and right. There customer service team will do nothing to fix it, and their 95% customer satisfaction promise is a flat out lie. All around the net people are outraged by the sub-par service.
