startlogic reviews StartLogic was established in 2003 so they've been in business for nearly 10 years. They're no newbie when it comes to web hosting. So chances are you have heard of the name before. They offer all solutions for your hosting needs, depending on what you are looking for; this includes eCommerce, SMB (small to medium sized business), or just a personal site.

In this full comprehensive StartLogic review I am going to go over some of the features that there service offers, along with a full analysis of what people are reporting about there experience. You'll soon learn why I do not recommend StartLogic as they have some key issues that I feel they should consider approving upon.

Features

The packages/plans offered with StartLogic are pretty cut and dry when you go to there website. On the homepage you'll see they offer a "PersonalLogic" plan ($3.95/month), "ProLogic" ($5.95/month), and "VPSLogic" ($29.95). Now the first two the "PersonalLogic" and the "ProLogic" are just fancy names for a shared web hosting plans. The third one as you might have guessed in the "VPSLogic" is a full managed VPS package. So it's safe to say if you are looking for a dedicated plan you won't be able to find it with them. You will need to check out my InMotion and Hostgator reviews for that kind of service.

Also, I actually found a "WindowsLogic" ($8.95) plan which is just a little extra beefed up shared package. You won't be able to actually see this plan unless you click on "products" where you will see all the plans listed. Like a lot of other web hosting services you can buy your domains there too ($14.99/year, this is kind of on the high end) and actually offer a SEO (search engine optimization) packages with fully integrated with web traffic analysis, SEO strategies), and reporting tools. Not that I have anything against there SEO plan in general but you can learn everything you need to about seo from SEOmoz.org (or hire me) to handle your search engine optimization :).

So it all looks pretty good from a glance but as I will show you people are reporting all kinds of errors//problems with there service.

Customer Support

I am sure that if you have been following my reviews on my site at the-best-web-hosting-service.com you will clearly see that I want to be able to contact customer service at the we hours of the night anytime I have issues or problems. With StartLogic I can attest to this and many other people can to. It takes quite some time to get in touch with them on the phone (which believe it or not gets disconnected from time to time).

True, they do have email support and live help, but people are also reporting that they don't really do much in order to get your inquiry answered. There motto seems to be "real people. real service. real savings" which doesn't to be the response that webmasters are reporting with them.

Reliability and Uptime

Chances are if you're going to host with them your site will function correctly for the most part. However, a number of issues from disgruntled customers seem to be an extended amount of downtime for days on end. Because every site is different and there are respectable host that actually have some downtime when they are performing maintenance it 's understandable. However, if your site is down for days on end that is something most webmasters won't put up with.

Furthermore, you would be reluctant to try customer service to get the issues resolved which could be a task in hand.

The Bottom Line

Don't use StartLogic because there customer support has been widely reported as slow and not very helpful. They can offer you almost every web hosting package except for dedicated, but why not just save yourself the hassle of having to pack up and move to a hosting company like InMotion or GreenGeeks, that will actually treat you right without the hassle.
