Startlogic has over one hundred thousand customers. They provide webhosting services and global business services to their customers. Their customers use their services for their business, personal, education, and government needs (much like Bluehost). They offer hosting services as well as Ecommerce solutions to make your online business a success. They have strict security measures in place to keep you protected and provide applications that will increase the productivity of your site. They use techniques such as search engine optimization to get your business in front of as many customers as possible. They use innovative products and employ modern technologies to keep them current and providing the best possible services.

Features

StartLogic offers three different web hosting plans to their customers. They are the PersonalLogic plan, the ProLogic plan, and the WindowsLogic plan. The services provided vary by plan. The PersonalLogic plan offers 60 GB of storage while the ProLogic plan offers unlimited storage. The WindowsLogic plan offers 100 GB of storage. You can get between 600 and 1000 GB of data transfer or go for the big package with unlimited bandwidth with the ProLogic plan. With PersonalLogic you get free setup but with ProLogic and WindowsLogic you also get a free domain. PersonalLogic provides you with free site builder, photo gallery, free wordpress themes, fully integrated Google webmaster tools, phpBB, unlimited email boxes and a RatePoint Customer feedback platform. With Prologic you have the ability to host unlimited domains in one account, point and click website builder applications, a choice of shopping carts, fully integrated Google Webmaster Tools, fifty dollars in Google Adwords credit, twenty five dollars in Yahoo search credits, and a RatePoint customer feedback platform (comes with lots of extras like GreenGeeks). The WindowsLogic package includes ASP.NET 2.0/3.0 with AJAX, CGI-BIN support, the ability to host unlimited domains, fully integrated Google Webmaster Tools , fifty dollars in Google Adwords Credit, twenty five dollars in Yahoo Search credits and a RatePoint Customer Feedback platform.

StartLogic Support

StartLogic does offer round the clock phone support for your business needs. They also offer email help lines as well as troubleshooting sites for you web and domain needs. You can view some tutorials online that cover such things as account management and ecommerce services. If you do have to contact them via telephone, be prepared to wait online for quite some time before you get a hold of anyone and if they do not “accidentally” disconnect you, you are doing great. There have been many complaints that their response time to emails is even longer than waiting on the line for an hour waiting to speak with a representative.

Uptime

StartLogic claims to offer 99.9% uptime but their disgruntled customers can tell you that may not be true. They do have the equipment available to them to make it happen but they just cannot seem to get it right. There are times that a site may be down for days at a time and no help is available to get it back up and running.

The Bottom Line

We do not recommend handling your business needs with StartLogic. Their reputation for providing poor service and having billing issues is enough to warn anyone against the pitfalls that are involved with StartLogic. There are many other web hosting services that will be much more effective for your needs. This is not one of them. I would recommend you read my Hostgator or InMotion review if you are looking for a hosting provider with good customer service. Still not convinced that StartLogic is a horrible web hosting service.
