Detailed VizaWeb ReviewThis hosting service has recieved
VizaWeb
VizaWeb was established in 2002 and is a hosting provider for thousands of customers. They will host anything from your small personal website to your huge corporate website with databases and the whole nine yards. They promise that for whatever reason you need a website you will be happy with their cheap prices and stunning features.
As mentioned above they will meet your needs for smaller websites to larger websites. The three packages that they offer are professional ($7.95/month), corporate ($17.95/month), and reseller ($29.95/month). Along with offering hosting plans they also allow you to create your own domains. In this review you are going to learn why I do not recommend their service.
Features
One of VizaWeb's strongest selling points is they offer a sitebuilder for those of you that are not computer savvy. In which, you can try for just $12.95/month. At a glance they look very cut and dry with what you will get. They use cPanel, support unlimited email accounts, sub domains, mySQL databases, and FTP accounts. They offer everything you will need to get your site up and running.
When you sign up for their services you will get your own shared SSL Certificate and heaps of Fatastico scripts for you install the scripts that are required to run your website. Along with that they offer full customer support, which is a plus for any webmaster.
Uptime and Reliability
Now this is where everything goes haywire. As I mentioned above VizaWeb will allow you to buy your own domains, which is great so you don't have to point your DNS to their hosting, and you can keep track of everything with one service. Sounds great right, well from the research I have done many people have lost their domains because they did not renew them in the allotted time. Furthermore, VizaWeb does not send you a curtsy email stating that your domain is about to expire.
To make matters worse you can not rely on their servers to stay functional all hours of the day. Many people have reported that there sites have been from several days and the only response was, "We are sorry about the outages." To make matters even worse (as if they can't get any worse) numerous people have had that dreaded message stating that they need to move their website because they are hogging their bandwidth.
Bottom Line
VizaWeb is one of the worst hosting companies you could possibly do business with. They are unreliable, problematic, and just a plain hassle to deal with. The reports are flowing in with their horrible service. Their Better Business Bureau rating is an F and I think that is being generous. If you are looking for a good reliable hosting service to do business with, then I would highly recommend you check out my Hostmonster or Gate.com review.
