Webhosting4Life Review Webhost4life has been providing businesses and individuals a place to host their website on, since 2001. They are a company that was found on one key principle, "our customer come first." They believe that to meet their customers needs it is imperative that they listen to their customers and make adjustments bases on their clients needs.

It should be noted that having the name Webhost4life you would think you would want to do business with them forever. However, in this review I will provide you with reasons on why I would steer clear of doing business with this company.

Features

Webhost4life offers you both Windows and Unix hosting. They are primarily a shared hosting company that does have one VPS package (it is called "ms power server") where you can reserve 10% of there server for your web needs. With Webhost4life you will receive unlimited disk space, transfers, bandwidth. They do have a option which they through in for free, which is called a "enhanced security." This is supposed to aid in keeping malaware off your site and make your site much more secure.

Webhost4life will also allow you 20-50 MySQL databases, a drag and drop Site Builder, 10 to unlimited FTP accounts, POP3/IMAP email accounts, and of course free setups. They will also support all the standard scripting languages such as, ASP.NET, PHP, Perl, CGI-BIN, ect.

Uptime and Reliability

As of January, 2010 Webhost4life had a huge change where they changed there new platform, but there is obviously a handful of bugs with it.

When you go to their homepage it clearly states that they offer a 99% uptime (which is currently the industry standard). At one time they were very reliable and there customer service was top notch (Webhost4life did honor their 99% promise). Over the last couple years complaints have been flooding in about them. Not sure if it was some upper management change that really sunk this hosting company but you can actually expect an 80% uptime if you have databases and everything.

There have been reports of sites being down for days and even weeks with them. Typically, one would expect to get ahold of their customer service for help, but that is a total nightmare. They seem to have a couple lines which are useless (We are sorry for the inconvenience and we are working on it). Better yet when you try to contact them you will usually not get a response unless you are pretty persistent.

Bottom Line

This company is a down right scam! There have been reports of people being over billed and Webhost4life doesn't even honor their 90 day money back guarantee. The live chat is like talking to a a 4 year old, and if you want to speak to them on the phone be prepared to say a couple sentences and be on hold for 6-7 min. This company really has some ironing out to do on their new platform if they don't go under before then, because almost every report I have read on them says they are the worst web hosting experience they have ever done business with.
