WebSecureStore

WebSecureStore ReviewWebSecureStores, owned by a company named WSS Concepts, Inc. in Washington State, started doing business in 2003 and is purportedly focused on bringing to their clients one of the best web hosting solutions that combines current technology resources of ASP.net, DotNetNuke and SQL server. It is supposed to keep you busy with all sorts of business activity starting from building your website to utilizing it as a useful business tool (much like iPage); instead of spending your time trying to figure it out and fixing it – their words. Now for the reckoning: Did they succeed? If that was really their purpose, that is. No way! If truth be known, WebSecureStores brings nothing but headache and frustration to your web hosting experience. This review shows you exactly how WebSecureStores dismally failed in their so-called goals and precisely why I would never recommend this website nor wish it upon anyone.

WebSecureStores Features

For a relatively new web hosting company, WebSecureStores surprisingly has a wide array of hosting plans (much like Hostgator) being offered. Basically a Windows Hosting company, WebSecureStores offers Shared Hosting plans, Reseller plans and Dedicated Servers. Besides the DNN Beginner Hosting package at $16.95 per month and SQL Basic plan at $9.95 per month, the company also offers 4 more ASP.net hosting plans with prices ranging from $3.95 to $39.95. The company also has 5 Reseller plans priced from $26.95 to $294.95 per month; while it has 6 Dedicated Server plans with monthly prices between $189 and $239; except for the last, all Dedicated Server packages have a set up fee ranging from a low of $99 to a high of $299. So what’s my point in dwelling on all these plans? Simple. I want to show that this company has one of the more costly web hosting packages in the industry…and for what? You would think they have something outstanding to offer with the kind of pricing plans presented but there’s actually nothing novel about these packages. All plans are as typical as the next web hosting package you can see everywhere in terms of features and services; which you can get for lower prices – way lower! One other thing that struck me was the way the plans are packaged. They are basically the same, except for some little additions; and yet the prices considerably vary and get more expensive for every little bit of “extra”.

Now here’s the saddest thing, for an expensive hosting provider, WebSecureStores gives the impression of going through intermittent hibernation and seems to sporadically stop all activities on the feature enhancement front. It often neglects to perform – or even offer, either for free or for a fee – software updates to their customers. The company even overlooks adding support for the .NET framework 3.0 or 3.5, which is completely unacceptable as web hosting services go. Sometimes you wonder: is the company still alive?

WebSecureStores Uptime and Reliability

WebSecureStores claims 99.98% uptime and all its advertisements emphasize services with no downtimes and shutdowns, with smooth and fast operation. The reality, however, is that the company’s performance is never at par with its assertion. Random downtimes that can even last for several days have frequently occurred without notice or explanation. The DNN download speed and consistency is often compromised and known to have downtimes of up to one hour. Clients from Europe and elsewhere outside of the US often complain about interruptions before downloads are completely done, and when there’s a spike in traffic the site crawls down to a snail’s pace. Guess what the justification that WebSecureStores gave for this…because the client is too far away. Hilarious!

Even their existing customers wonder what sort of customer support system WebSecureStores has – or if it even has one in place. Get this…it doesn’t have chat, and phone support. The only way you can convey your website issues is through e-mail or by submitting a ticket, which, as everyone knows can take forever before getting any sign of acknowledgment, much more resolving your problems. And they even have the nerve to claim taking the guesswork and wasted time out of your web hosting. More like taking it to higher levels – they keep you guessing what the company is up to! So, if you’re already pulling your hair with frustration and thinking of transferring to a more efficient web hosting provider, don’t even expect that you can get any refund from WebSecureStores. It rarely happens.

Bottom Line

Let me be straightforward about this: Don’t do business with WebSecureStores. You’d be wasting your time and money with the total crap of a service the company delivers. The disastrous combination of incompetent technical staff and server problems can wreck your chances of ever having the kind of effective website your business deserves. The legitimacy of WebSecureStores is even questionable, so if you want a stress-free, secure and reliable web hosting experience, you are better off signing up with the likes of InMotion or BlueHost. I have no qualms recommending these web hosting providers as I have first-hand knowledge of their competency and trustworthiness. Go ahead, read my reviews and see for yourself – these are the stuff that the best web hosting service providers are made of.
